This week's theme for Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, is "Books I Never Reviewed." Wow....that is hard to narrow down to just ten. My blog is only three years old so there are plenty to choose from. Sometimes I think of reviewing my favorites that I read long ago but is that cheating when you run a book blog? I mean, do I have to have read it that week for it to count? It's an interesting thought. Go back and write reviews for books I read five years ago? Even with Outlander I re-read them before I reviewed them.
Anyway here are ten books I really enjoyed but haven't reviewed. Maybe I should! Happy reading ya'll!
**No covers displayed due to time, but the titles are linked to Goodreads if you want more information on one of these amazing books!
1. The Murder On the Links by Agatha Christie (Cozy Mystery)
2. The Six Wives of Henry the VIII by Alison Weir (History- British Biography)
3. Highland Spirits by Amanda Scott (Historical Scottish Romance)
4. Leaving Ireland by Ann Moore (Historical Irish Romance)
5. Poldark by Winston Graham (Historical Fiction Cornwall)
6. Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoyevsky (Historical Fiction Russia )
7. Drums of Autumn by Diana Gabaldon (Historical Fiction/Romance)
8. Celia Garth by Gwen Bristow (Historical Fiction set in Charleston)
9. Queen of This Realm by Jean Plaidy (Historical Biography of Elizabeth II)
10. Into Africa by Martin Dugard (History- Stanley and Livingstone's discovery)
There is some great books in that list. Here is mine

Thanks Teri!
DeleteInto Africa sounds like a good read.
ReplyDeleteIt is really good and written more narrative style which is how I enjoy reading history books.
DeleteSome of these sound tough to review, so I totally understand you didn't.

I think that would be a good challenge for my writing practice! Thanks for sharing your list with me :)
DeleteI haven't read any of these, except for Crime and Punishment, which in school many years ago.
ReplyDeleteIn my early years of blogging, I had a feature called From the Archives, in which I shared the notes from my reading journal of books I read in my pre-blogging days. I've thought about resurrecting that feature for books I never got around to reviewing more recently but did journal about. It's not a priority though--but something I've considered.
I absolutely love that idea! This is why I love fellow book bloggers. I'd totally read those. I'm not a big fan of modern current books so that would be a great page. Thanks for sharing the idea too :)
DeleteI've written a few reviews for Christie's books, but I often find myself stumped at how to review them and not spoil anything.

That is hard for sure....I always have to be pretty short and sweet with her reviews and just give the basics. Thanks for sharing your list Pam! I need to add your blog to my blog roll.
DeleteTe cool thing about having a book blog is that you can do whatever you want with it! I don't think it's "cheating" to review a book you haven't read recently. If you've read something good and you want to share it, I say go for it.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
Thanks Susan! That gives me encouragement to do that. We forget it's our space to make it our own sometimes!
ReplyDeleteI will echo Susan from above and say it's your blog, do what you feel moved to do. No one else in the world has your exact perspective after all. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I agree and same to you! We need to remember that sometimes :)
